The following is all the information needed for obtaining a salesperson license and how At Home Prep can help pass the state exam!

License Education:
  • 60 hours of prelicensing courses
Continuing Education:
  •  15 hours of continuing education every 2 years
Other Requirements:
  • Must be 18 years old
Applications: To apply, contact the state of Pennsylvania (717) 783-3658. There is an $121 application fee that must be submitted with the application.
Reciprocity

Pennsylvania has reciprocal agreement with the following states

  • Arkansas
  • Colorado
  • Georgia
  • Louisiana
  • Maryland
  • Massachusettes
  • New York
  • Oklahoma
  • South Dakota
  • West Virginia
  • Wyoming
Examinations:
  • The testing company is PSI and can be contacted at (800) 733-9267
  • The exam fee is $56
  • Test is divided into two sections, National and State, which comprises 110 questions
  • 3 hour time limit for both sections
  • Topics on the national portion of the exam include property ownership, land use control and regulations, valuation and market analysis, financing, laws of agency, mandated closures, contracts, transfer of property, practice of real estate, and real estate calculations.
  • Topics on the state portion of the exam include real estate commission, licensure, regulation of conduct of licensees, broker/salesperson relationships, disclosures
