- 40 hour principles and practices class
- 40 hour Ohio real estate law class
- 20 hour real estate appraisal
- 20 hour real estate finance

- 30 hours of continuing education courses every 3 years

- Must be at least 18 years old
- Sponsored by a broker

Ohio has reciprocal agreement with the following states

| Examinations: |
- The testing company is PSI and can be contacted at (800) 733-9267
- The exam fee is $68
- Test is divided into two sections,National and State, which comprises 120 questions
- 3 hour time limit for both sections
- Topics on the national portion of the exam include property ownership, land use control and regulations, valuation and market analysis, financing, laws of agency, mandated closures, contracts, transfer of property, practice of real estate, and real estate calculations.
- Topics on the state portion of the exam include state governance of the real estate profession, licensing requirements, license law and rules of the Ohio Real Estate Commission, brokerage relationships, agency law
