License Education:Pre-license
- 75 hour Broker's Prelicense Course
Post License
- 90 hours of post licensing courses must be taken within three years of completing the broker's license
- Within the first year, 30 of the 90 hours MUST be completed
Continuing Education:
- 8 hours of continuing education courses every year
Other Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old

To apply, contact the state of North Carolina at (919) 875-3700. There is an $30 application fee that must be submitted with the application.

- The testing company is PSI (1-800-733-9267)
- The exam is divided in to 6 sections, Real Estate Law and Brokerage Practices, Miscellaneaous Topics Related to Real Estate, North Carolina Real Estate License Law, Commission Rukes and Trust Account Guidelines, Real Estate Finance, Real Estate Valuation, Real Estate Mathematics
- There are 110 questions on the exam
- 75% is required to pass the exam
- The exam fee is $66
