The following is all the information needed for obtaining a salesperson license and how At Home Prep can help pass the state exam!

 

License Education:
  • 60 hour Salesperson Prelicense Course

 

Continuing Education:
  • 12 hours of continuing education classes annually
Other Requirements:
  • Two years as a licensed Salesperson
  • Completion of the following activity criteria within 3 years of the date of application:
  • Minimum of 30 residential real estate transactions, or a minimum of 10 commercial, agricultural or farm and ranch real estate transactions.
Applications:
  • $100 license fee
Reciprocity:

Montana has reciprocity agreements with the following states. The application for reciprocity can be found here

Examinations:
  • The testing company is AMP and be reached at 1-800-345-6559 or register online at http://www.goamp.com/default.htm
  • The exam fee is $91.00
  • The exam takes 3 1/2 hours to complete
  • Requires a 80% to pass
  • The test consists of twelve simulation problems
  • Topics included in the simulation include ethics, negotiations, document preparation, fair housing, environmental issues, representation of services, valuation, advertising, finance, agency relationships, non agency relationships, disclosures (including stigmatized property), property representations, trust accounts, training of licensees, supervision of licensees, risk management
