The following is all the information needed for obtaining abroker license and how At Home Prep can help pass the state exam!

License Education:
  • 40 hours of pre-licensing courses
Continuing Education:
  • 18 hours every three years
Other Requirements:
  • Must be at leat 18 years old
Applications: To apply, contact the state of Michigan (517) 241-9288. There is an $25 application fee that must be submitted with the application.
Reciprocity

South Carolina has reciprocal agreement with every state except North Carolina, Georgia, Kentucky and West Virginia

Examinations:
  • The testing company is PSI and can be contacted at (800) 733-9267
  • The exam fee is $48
  • Test is divided into two sections, Real Estate Priniciples and Michigan Specific, which comprises 110 questions
  • 3 hour time limit for both sections
  • 70% is required to pass the exam
  • Topics on the Real Estate Principles include property ownership, land use controls and regulations, valuation and market anlaysis, financing, laws of agency, mandated disclosures, contracts, specialty areas
  • Topics on the Michigan Specific portion include duties and powers of the department and the board, licensing requirements, statutory requirements governing the activities of license, contractual relationships, additional topics within the state
