- 60 hours of prelicensing courses

- 15 hours of continuing education every 2 years

- Must have a high school diploma or GED

| Reciprocity |
Maryland currently has reciprocal agreement with the following states

| Examinations: |
- The testing company is PSI and can be contacted at (800) 733-9267
- The exam fee is $70
- Test is divided into two sections, National and State, which comprises 110 questions
- 2 hour time limit for both sections
- Topics on the state portion of the exam include property ownership, land use control and regulations, valuation and market analysis, financing, laws of agency, mandated closures, contracts, transfer of property, practice of real estate, and real estate calculations.
