Category A-1 (Not a licensed salesperson)

  • 120 hours in Real Estate Transaction course
  • 75 hours in broker courses (45 hours mandatory, 30 hours as electives)

Advance Principles 2000 (15 hours)

Continuing Education:
  • 12 hours of continuing education classes every 2 years

Examinations:
  • The test is administered by AMP and can be reached at 1-800-345-6559 or register online at http://www.goamp.com/
  • exam fee is $46
  • The exam consists of 2 portions, national and state, with a time limit of 3 1/2 hours for both parts
  • Topics on the national portion include listing property, selling property, property management, settlement, transfer of ownership, financing, professional responsibilities, fair practice, and administration
  • Topics on the state portion license requirements, laws and regulating real estate practice, ownership issues, disclosures, broker topics, contract law laws governing fair housing/leasing/owner and tenant relations
