The following is all the information needed for obtaining a salesperson license and how At Home Prep can help pass the state exam!
License Education:
Pre-license
- 75 hour sales person course approved by the Georgia Real Estate Commission
OR
- 6 semester hours in real estate at an accredited college
Post Licensing
- 25 hour sales person "post licensing" course within the first year of obtaining the license
Continuing Education:
- 24 hours of continuing education course work within 4 years
Other Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Back ground check must be obtained from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation
Applications:
To apply, contact the state of Georgia at (404) 656-3916. There is an $125 application fee that must be submitted with the application.
Reciprocity:
Must meet all of the following:
- Have passed an examination for the type of license sought in Georgia
- Have met all the pre-licensing and continuing education requirements imposed by the state in which you are licensed
- Be currently licensed in good standing
- Have not had any formal disciplinary action imposed by the state in which you are licensed
Examinations:
- The testing company is AMP and be reached at 1-800-345-6559 or register online at http://www.goamp.com/default.htm
- The exam fee is $91.00
- 4 hour time limit for both National and State portions of the test
- Score of 75% must be achieved
- Exam topics include listing property, selling, property, property management, settlement/transfer of ownership, financing, professional responsibilities, fair practice and administration
