License Education:
State Licensed Real Property Appraiser
- 150 Board approved hours
- 15 hours of which should cover Uniformed Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice
State Certified Residential Real Property Appraiser
- 200 Board approved hours
- 15 hours of which should cover Uniformed Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice
State Certified General Real Property Appraiser
- 300 hours of board approved hours
- 15 hours of which should cover Uniformed Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice
Continuing Education:
- 14 hours every year
- 7 hour USPAP course every 2 years
Other Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Back ground check must be obtained from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation

- Topics on the exam include influence on real estate value, legal considerations, types of value, economic principles, real estate markets and analysis, property description, math and statistics, sales comparison, site value, cost approach, income approach, value of partial interest, standards and ethics
