GEORGIA Broker License

The following is information on obtaining a broker license and how @ Home Prep can help!

manager2License Education:

As a Salesperson

  • 60 hour Broker's Prelicense Course

As a Community Association Manager

  • 60 hour Broker's Prelicense Course
  • additional 75 course hours

Continuing Education:

  • 24 hours of continuing education classes within 4 years

Other Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED

Applications:

  • $170 license fee

Reciprocity:
The Georgia Real Estate Commission has entered in to reciprocal agreement with the following states:

Must meet all of the following:

  1. Have passed an examination for the type of license sought in Georgia
  2. Have met all the pre-licensing and continuing education requirements imposed by the state in which you are licensed
  3. Be currently licensed in good standing
  4. Have not had any formal disciplinary action imposed by the state in which you are licensed

Examinations:

  • The testing company is AMP and be reached at 1-800-345-6559 or register online at http://www.goamp.com/
  • The exam fee is $91.00
  • 4 hour time limit for both National and State portions of the test
  • Must score a 75%
  • Topics on exam include unfair practices, trust accounts, substantive regulations, real estate practices in Georgia, qualifications and fees, fair housing laws, real estate education research, recovery fund, complaints and hearing process, attorney general's opinions, commission organization and procedures, management, closing and calculations
