The following is all the information needed for obtaining a salesperson license and how At Home Prep can help pass the state exam!
License Education:Pre-license
- 72 hour sales person course approved by the Florida Real Estate Commission
Post Licensing
- 60 hour sales person "post licensing" course within the first year of obtaining the license
Continuing Education:
- 14 hours of continuing education course work within 2 years
- Must have 24 months experience within the last 5 years as a sales associate
Applications:
To apply, contact the state of Florida at (850) 487-1395. There is an $115 application fee that must be submitted with the application.
Reciprocity:
Florida currently holds a "mutual recognition" agreement with the following states
- Alabama
- Arkansas
- Colorado
- Connecticut
- Georgia
- Indiana
- Kentucky
- Mississippi
- Nebraska
- Oklahoma
- Tennessee
Examinations:
- The testing company is Pearson Vue and be reached at (888) 204-6289
- The exam fee is $31.50
- 3 1/2 hour time limit
- Score of 75% must be achieved
- Topics on the exam include general real estate law, Florida licensure law, fair housing laws, discrimination, agency, ownerships interests, FREC rules, brokerage operations, business valuation, finance, financial analysis, income capitalization, zoning, mortgage math calculations, closing statement narratives
