- 60 hours of Prelicense course
Post License
- Must complete 30 hours within 1 year of obtaining license.
- 12 hours of continuing education classes every 2 years
- 3 hours of "Risk Management"

- must have high school diploma or GED

- The test is administered by AMP and can be reached at 1-800-345-6559
- exam fee is $69
- exam is made up of 140 questions and a time limit of 3 1/2 hours
- The national and state questions of the exam are intermixed
- National topics include listing property, selling property, property management, settlement, transfer of ownership, financing, professional responsibilities, fair practice and administration.
- State topics include purpose f license law, rules and regulations, role of the commission, definitions, license requirements, license status, broker license, company license, place of business, recovery fund, disciplinary actions and process, estimated closing statements, trust funds, RECAD, violations which result in disciplinary actions
