The following is information on obtaining a broker license and how At Home Prep can help!
License Education:
Continuing Education:
- 12 hours of continuing education classes every 2 years
- 3 hours of "Risk Management"
Other Requirements:
- must hold an active salespersons license for 24 of the 36 months prior to application
Applications:
To apply, contact the state of Alabama at (334) 242-5544. There is an $85 application fee that must be submitted with the application.
Reciprocity:
The Alabama Real Estate Commission has entered in to reciprocal agreement with the following states:

- Georgia
- Iowa
- Kentucky
- Louisiana
- Mississippi
- Missouri
- Nebraska
- New Hampshire
- North Carolina
- Oklahoma
- Oregon
- South Dakota
- Tennessee

Examinations:
- The test is administered by AMP and can be reached at 1-800-345-6559
- exam fee is $69
- First portion of the exam is made up of 40 multiple choice questions with a time limit of 60 minutes
- Second portion consists of 10 "simulation" problems with a time limit of 2 1/2 hours
- Multiple choice topics include purpose of the license, rules and regulations, role of the commission, license requirements, license status, disciplinary actions and process, estimated closing statements, trust funds, RECAD, violations which may result in disciplinary actions
- Simulation topics include training of licensees, fair housing, agency/non agency relationships, property representations, trust accounts, advertising, financing, disclosures, risk management, property types (residential, commercial, property management)
